Introduction
Becky Nelson New Beginnings (BNNB) has been in place as a ministry since 2006. Becky Nelson's family began this fund in her honor upon her death. Becky was a nurse and had a huge heart for helping others. Her legacy continues because of her family's generosity. Funding is available to individuals (partners) who have a dream for a new beginning but, due to poor choices or poor life circumstances, they cannot get over the next hurdle.Zero Interest LoansFinancial funding has been provided for one-time expenses rather than on-going personal or living expenses. Examples of funding includes: school tuition, purchase of car, repair of car, insurance for car, and start-up expenses for a new business.
The one-time financial need is met through a no interest loan in which the partner repays the loan at some point in the near future (the "pay it forward" concept). The premise is based on the Parable of the Talents. The partners must also agree to have one or more approved mentors while they are participating in the program.
